What is the BKR Wildland Basic Kit?
The Wildland Firefighting Basic kit has the essentials for the wildland firefighter who chooses the BK Radio BKR5000 series radio for their fire line radio. The Kit allows for two different radio options: the BKR5000 or the BKR5000 Command. The Bendix King BKR5000 works for both Cal Fire and USFS wildland fire radio communications contracts (NIFC Fire Approved Radio).
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
- (1) Bendix King - BKR5000-T3 - handheld portable two-way radio.
- (1) Speaker Mic - BKR0204 - This waterproof speaker mic includes an emergency button and 3.5mm audio jack.
- (1) Big Boost - ANSFMWPBB18V - 18 Inch whip Big Boost antenna has 2.1dB gain for perfect balance of range and price.
- (2) Clamshell - BKR0120 - Orange "AA" Battery Clamshell. This is the most cost effective and often the most convenient way to power the Bendix King radios.
- (1) Field Programming Enabled
